The video showed Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, grabbing and pushing Breitbart writer Michelle Fields as she approached Trump and tapped his elbow. Fields claimed that Lewandowski left bruises on her arm. It was enough that police charged Lewandowski with simple battery, but prosecutors ultimately dropped the case. He shrugged off the allegation and the news cycle that followed, which left the pundits to bicker among themselves over the footage and decide whether an assault had occurred. McInnes, staring slack-jawed at the footage during an episode of his reactionary talk show, couldn’t believe it warranted media attention in the first place. A woman touched a presidential candidate and got what was coming to her, he argued. If anything, she deserved more. “She wasn’t randomly grabbed!” he groused, his voice pitching upward in aggravation as the video played. “I think there’s not enough violence in today’s day and age.” McInnes then launched into one of his signature rants, steering the conversation toward his keynote: America had gone soft in the waning years of Barack Obama’s presidency, and there was no better evidence than the news media clutching its pearls over a woman being grabbed and pushed out of the way. However, there is currently limited practical and theoretical knowledge for those working in Paralympic sport. A systematic review by our research team (Dehghansai et al., 2017a), for example, highlighted the clear lack of literature examining athlete development. Subsequent studies (Dehghansai et al., 2017b; Dehghansai & Baker, 2020; Dehghansai et al., 2020, 2022, 2021, Houlihan & Chapman, 2017; Patatas et al., 2020, 2022) from research groups around the world have expanded our understanding, and provided the impetus for this book, which aims to synthesize the most up-to-date research with practice across international Paralympic sport systems (e.g., from those in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, United States, Netherlands, and New Zealand). As part of Australia’s preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, two of the authors/editors have experienced first-hand the potential opportunities for supporting athlete development. We have witnessed rapid performance trajectories, the quality and passion of coaches and other practitioners working in this field, and the creativity required to solve problems. We also observed (and experienced) many of the challenges that are highlighted and discussed at length throughout this book. نویسندگان: خلاصه: Vorwort Die sich in der Radiologie schon längst etablierte und ständig weiter zunehmende Bilderflut sowie die Modalitäten und Erfolge der Krebstherapien mit ausgedehnten prätherapeutischen und langfristigen Nachsorgeuntersuchungen führen zwangsläufig zur Aufdeckung von immer mehr Zufalls- und Nebenbefunden, die vor allem dem Nichtspezialisten in der Skelettradiologie erhebli- che interpretatorische Probleme bereiten können. Doch wie geht man damit um? Sicherlich nicht, indem man die Bilderflut durch mehr oder weniger ungezielte zusätzliche Unter- suchungsverfahren ausweitet und damit unter Umständen neue Zufallsbefunde kreiert. Das gilt besonders für hoch sensitive aber weniger spezifische Modalitäten. Der anspruchsvolle und präzise Radiologe wird vielmehr ein ergänzendes Verfahren einsetzen, das – an der anatomischen Struktur des Zufallsbefunds orientiert – eine höhere Spezifität besitzt und zu einer begründeten und klinisch brauchbaren Diagnose führt. Der häufig angewendete Trick, sich der Verantwortung zu entziehen und eine histologi- sche Abklärung zu empfehlen, sollte gemieden werden. Denn die histologische Interpretation des Pathologen kann in der Skelett- radiologie nur so gut sein, wie der radiologische Befund klar und richtungsweisend ist. Ich betätige mich seit vielen Jahren als Konsiliarius in der Ske- lettradiologie. Das eingesandte Krankengut besteht zu etwa 50 % aus klinisch asymptomatischen Zufallsbefunden, hinter denen benigne Knochentumoren und tumorähnliche Läsionen, Erkran- kungen im Frühstadium, Teile einer systemischen Erkrankung, ungewöhnliche Normvarianten und vieles mehr stecken können. Es wird an mehr als 160 Fällen und fast 100 differenzialdiag- nostisch passenden Kasuistiken aufgezeigt, wie man professionell an solche Befunde unter Einbeziehung der individuellen Situation des Patienten herangeht, welche Relevanz sie haben und welche sinnvollen Empfehlungen man zum weiteren Prozedere geben kann. نویسندگان: خلاصه: This book is based on a life history, qualitative study of four university professors’ cross-cultural pathways. When I started this research during my sabbatical leave in China in September, 2009, I had no idea what it would lead me to. To my aston- ishment, it turned out to be one of the most spiritual experiences in my life. As a result, I became fully committed to nonviolence education, inspired by the life stories of the four professors in their cross-cultural engagements situated in history, culture, and educational contexts. Two Chinese professors, one male and one female, and two American pro- fessors, one male and one female, from different generations participated in this study. This book tells these professors’ extraordinary stories of encountering a culture different from their own and how such engagements influenced their edu- cational work. Specifically, the Chinese professors’ engagement with American/ Western thought and culture and the American professors’ engagement with Chi- nese thought and culture are narrated. Their stories are also situated in the context of the intellectual and cultural history of China–US engagement, with my auto- biographical voice woven in when applicable. While Chinese immigrants’ stories are more often heard in the North American educational field, Americans’ lived experiences in China must also be heard to achieve the mutuality that is necessary for forming constructive relationships between the self and the other globally (Aoki, 2005). It is at the site of mutuality that non-dualistic engagement with dif- ference becomes possible in cross-cultural and intercultural education. Nonviolence has emerged as a central thread of cross-cultural pathways and pedagogy. Here nonviolence is defined as unity between the body and the mind within the self and compassionate relationships between the self and the other that can be extended to the group, the nation, and the global (and further to the ecological relationship between humanity and nonhuman being

The general remedy against this process is decarbonization and use of renewable energy. At the moment, above 80% of used energy is produced from fossil fuels, but there are plans to cut down this share significantly in the next decades, not only in EU, but also across the globe. When we want to argue about the consequences of this process for FSU countries (now EAEU), we need to take into account both heterogeneity of physical climate change across the globe and the risks linked to international trade. The major territory of EAEU countries is occupied by Russian Federation, and its risks will be assessed separately. The next group is Central Asian countries, which is compact geographically comparing to Russia. First, we need to study the predicted risks for those countries caused by global warming. There are several processes associated with it: (a) change of average temperature and climate, (b) transition to renewable energies as a way to combat the process.
