Options for Operationalising Transparency in Commodity Trading Transactions - Original PDF
نویسندگان: : OECD Development Policy Tools خلاصه:  7 OPTIONS FOR OPERATIONALISING TRANSPARENCY IN COMMODITY TRADING TRANSACTIONS © OECD 2021 Executive Summary This report provides an overview of possible options for operationalising enhanced transparency and reporting requirements by companies that purchase oil, gas and minerals (hereafter: buying companies) from state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and other public entities that can be undertaken by home governments, host governments and their SOEs, trading hubs, free zones, commodity exchanges and industry associations. In particular, as a significant share of global commodity trading transactions take place in a small number of global trading hubs, those hubs should take active steps to avoid the reputational risk of harbouring corrupt transactions and suspicious deals, including by introducing requirements for companies active in commodity trading to disclose their payments to governments. The options for operationalising enhanced transparency set out in this report can act to reinforce each other and should not be seen as mutually exclusive

Trading Companies and Travel Knowledge in the Early Modern World - Original PDF
نویسندگان: Aske Laursen Brock, Guido van Meersbergen, Edmond Smith خلاصه: Trading Companies and Travel Knowledge in the Early Modern World explores the links between trade, empire, exploration, and global information transfer during the early modern period. By charting how the leaders, members, employees, and supporters of different trading companies gathered, processed, employed, protected, and divulged intelligence about foreign lands, peoples, and markets, this book throws new light on the internal uses of information by corporate actors and the ways they engaged with, relied on, and supplied various external publics. This ranged from using secret knowledge to beat competitors, to shaping debates about empire, and to forcing Europeans to reassess their understandings of specific environments due to contacts with non-European peoples. Reframing our understanding of trading companies through the lens of travel literature, this volume brings together thirteen experts in the field to facilitate a new understanding of how European corporations and empires were shaped by global webs of information exchange.
Genetic Algorithms and Applications for Stock Trading Optimization - Original PDF
Genetic Algorithms and Applications for Stock Trading Optimization - Original PDF
نویسندگان: Vivek Kapoor, Shubhamoy Dey خلاصه: Genetic algorithms (GAs) are based on Darwin's theory of natural selection and survival of the fittest. They are designed to competently look for solutions to big and multifaceted problems. Genetic algorithms are wide groups of interrelated events with divided steps. Each step has dissimilarities, which leads to a broad range of connected actions. Genetic algorithms are used to improve trading systems, such as to optimize a trading rule or parameters of a predefined multiple indicator market trading system. Genetic Algorithms and Applications for Stock Trading Optimization is a complete reference source to genetic algorithms that explains how they might be used to find trading strategies, as well as their use in search and optimization. It covers the functions of genetic algorithms internally, computer implementation of pseudo-code of genetic algorithms in C++, technical analysis for stock market forecasting, and research outcomes that apply in the stock trading system. This book is ideal for computer scientists, IT specialists, data scientists, managers, executives, professionals, academicians, researchers, graduate-level programs, research programs, and post-graduate students of engineering and science.

Get started with MicroPython on Raspberry Pi Pico - Original PDF
نویسندگان: Gareth Halfacree, Ben Everard خلاصه: You might think of computers as things you stick on your desk and type on, and this is certainly one type of computer, but it’s not the only type. In this book, we’re looking at microcontrollers – small processing units with a bit of memory that are good at controlling other hardware. You probably have lots of microcontrollers in your house already. There’s a good chance your washing machine is controlled by a microcontroller; maybe your watch is; you might find one in your coffee machine or microwave. Of course, all these microcontrollers already have their programs and the manufacturers make it hard to change the software running on them. A Raspberry Pi Pico, on the other hand, can be easily reprogrammed over a USB connection. In this book, we’ll look at how to get started with this hardware, and how to work with other electronic components. By the end of the book, you’ll know how to create your own programmable electronic contraptions. What you do with them is up to you.
