In the second section of the book, we describe the application of our model in three areas: substance abuse, foster care, and mental health. We have included some projects described in the previous edition, along with material concerning later developments in this work, and have added new projects conducted in recent years. In presenting this material, the emphasis is on the experience of entering an organization to introduce a new, family-oriented approach to the services they provide. We describe our contact with administrators, the training of institutional staff, and our direct work with families. The material is detailed and concrete; we describe the steps and sequences involved in the intervention pro- cess and provide specific examples of how the new approach has been implemented. We also discuss how institutional staff, families, and consultants faced and dealt with the many issues that arise, inevitably, when familiar pathways are disrupted. The aim is to provide ideas and examples that will be useful for people who work in similar circumstances

چکیده فارسی

در بخش دوم کتاب، کاربرد مدل خود را در سه زمینه شرح می دهیم: سوء مصرف مواد، مراقبت از خانواده و سلامت روان. ما برخی از پروژه های شرح داده شده در نسخه قبلی را همراه با مطالب مربوط به پیشرفت های بعدی در این کار گنجانده ایم و پروژه های جدیدی را که در سال های اخیر انجام شده است اضافه کرده ایم. در ارائه این مطالب، تاکید بر تجربه ورود به یک سازمان برای معرفی رویکرد جدید خانواده محور به خدمات ارائه شده است. ما تماس خود با مدیران، آموزش کارکنان مؤسسه، و کار مستقیم خود با خانواده ها را شرح می دهیم. مواد دقیق و ملموس است. ما مراحل و توالی‌های دخیل در فرآیند مداخله را توصیف می‌کنیم و مثال‌های خاصی از نحوه اجرای رویکرد جدید ارائه می‌کنیم. ما همچنین درباره نحوه مواجهه کارکنان، خانواده‌ها و مشاوران سازمانی با بسیاری از مسائلی که به ناچار هنگام مختل شدن مسیرهای آشنا به وجود می‌آیند، بحث می‌کنیم. هدف ارائه ایده ها و مثال هایی است که برای افرادی که در شرایط مشابه کار می کنند مفید باشد
