روتلج همراه با ادبیات و عاطفه نشان می‌دهد که چگونه «چرخش عاطفی» در علوم انسانی در مطالعات ادبی اعمال می‌شود. این کتاب با ترکیب ماهرانه عناصر علمی و ادبی، مقدمه ای نظری و موضوعی برای خواندن ادبیات و احساسات ارائه می دهد.
