The study of transformations of materials under high pressures promises to yield modifications with important applications in materials science and other fields including, by way of example, the dense metallic modification of hydrogen possessing extremely high superconducting properties. This work presents recent theoretical and experimental information gathered on phase diagrams of 96 elements. Data is presented on first- and second-phase transitions, melting lines, crystal structures of the stable and metastable phases, important phase properties such as the Curie and Neel temperature, and the superconducting temperature. Information is provided on elements' liquid state, amorphization, and metallization. Temperature-pressure diagrams are given for most of the elements.

مطالعه دگرگونی‌های مواد تحت فشارهای بالا نوید ایجاد تغییراتی را با کاربردهای مهم در علم مواد و سایر زمینه‌ها از جمله، به عنوان مثال، اصلاح فلزی متراکم هیدروژن با خواص فوق‌رسانای بسیار بالا را می‌دهد. این کار اطلاعات نظری و تجربی اخیر جمع آوری شده بر روی نمودارهای فاز 96 عنصر را ارائه می دهد. داده ها در مورد انتقال فاز اول و دوم، خطوط ذوب، ساختارهای بلوری فازهای پایدار و فراپایدار، خواص فاز مهم مانند دمای کوری و نیل، و دمای ابررسانا ارائه شده است. اطلاعاتی در مورد حالت مایع، آمورفیزاسیون و فلز شدن عناصر ارائه شده است. نمودارهای دما-فشار برای اکثر عناصر ارائه شده است.
