Microbes: Concepts and Applications بیولوژی و شناسایی اولیه میکروب را توصیف می کند و نشان نمی دهد تنها نحوه عملکرد آنها در زیر شاخه های پزشکی، بیوتکنولوژی، علوم محیطی، مهندسی زیستی، کشاورزی، و علوم غذایی است، اما چگونه می توان از آنها به عنوان یک منبع استفاده کرد. درک کاملی از عوامل سبب‌شناختی، فرآیندهای بیماری‌زا، اپیدمیولوژی و نقش میکروب‌ها به‌عنوان عوامل درمانی در اختیار خوانندگان قرار می‌دهد.
