The second edition of this manual has been carried out with the participation of fifty-five specialists who, over twenty-seven chapters, update the knowledge about the different psychological disorders. The first part is devoted to the basic aspects of these disorders, including a brief history of psychopathology, an integrative model of it, alterations in basic psychological processes, a critical review of the two main current classification systems and an introduction to epidemiological research. In the following chapters the main psychological disorders are addressed, from anxiety disorders, through depressive disorders, schizophrenia, eating disorders, sexual dysfunctions, personality disorders or dementias.
This manual, therefore, will be of use to all professionals in the area of ​​mental health in which psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, etc. work, who require an effort of continuous progression.

چکیده فارسی

ویرایش دوم این راهنما با مشارکت پنجاه و پنج متخصص انجام شده است که در بیش از بیست و هفت فصل، دانش را در مورد اختلالات روانی مختلف به روز می کنند. بخش اول به جنبه های اساسی این اختلالات، از جمله تاریخچه مختصر آسیب شناسی روانی، مدلی یکپارچه از آن، تغییرات در فرآیندهای روانشناختی اساسی، بررسی انتقادی دو سیستم طبقه بندی اصلی فعلی و مقدمه ای بر تحقیقات اپیدمیولوژیک اختصاص دارد. در فصل های بعدی به اختلالات روانشناختی اصلی، از اختلالات اضطرابی، تا اختلالات افسردگی، اسکیزوفرنی، اختلالات خوردن، اختلالات جنسی، اختلالات شخصیت یا زوال عقل پرداخته می شود.
